Almost half of the colorectal and cervical cancer cases along with a third of the breast cancer instances within the United States are diagnosed at late-stages of the diseases when treatment is much more difficult, according to a new report released right now by the Centers for Disease and Control and Prevention. The report, “Surveillance of Screening-Detected Cancers (Colon and Rectum, Breast, and Cervix) — United States, 2004-2006,” is published as a Surveillance Summary in the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.
