In most cases, there is not a reason that has been discovered for the restless leg syndrome. It has been found, though, that it can run in families. Numerous pregnant women also develop restless leg syndrome. Luckily, in case you develop the problem during pregnancy, it is most likely that it will go away once more once the baby is born. It has also been shown that particular deficiencies can also trigger restless leg syndrome, including an iron deficiency. Certain diseases and disorders may also be the trigger behind the syndrome. For example, diabetes, Parkinsons disease, and rheumatoid arthritis can all lead to restless leg syndrome, though in most cases that have been diagnosed, this is not the case.
